As we all know, a bill has been placed down restricting certain breeds from apartment complexes around the U.S. While I believe it is true that some breeds are more prone to aggression than others, I also believe that if a dog is trained properly by its owner, there’s a slim chance that the dog would become violent or threatening. No guarantees, of course, but if an owner trained their dog how to behave properly and taught it right from wrong, it wouldn’t make sense for the dog to ever become violent or harmful to others. So it seems unfair that dog owners who own dogs on this breed restriction list cannot bring their dog into the apartment because other dog owners are irresponsible caretakers. It’s not so much of an insurance issue, as it is an issue of being a responsible dog owner.
