I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t love animals. My grandfather was the Curator of Mammals at the Philadelphia Zoo and he introduced me to the world of animals at a very young age. I loved them all, but I especially loved dogs. Dogs have enriched my life in ways too immeasurable to detail. I always knew that I wanted to give back to dogs in a way equivocal to how they had enriched my life. When, as a little girl, I began to learn of shelters and the ways that people could hurt dogs through neglect or worse I vowed that I would save them all. It’s a child’s dream and idealism that allows one to declare something so impossible, and I understand why my father chuckled when I swore that I would buy a home and take in all the dogs who needed me, but I can’t say that I haven’t dedicated my life to making that little girl’s dream come true. On a smaller and slightly varied scale, I think I’ve done exactly what I always dreamt I would by opening up Elliot’s House.

No; I can’t save them all, but I can do my part. I rescued Elliot when I was living in California. He was found on the streets of Compton and was quickly brought to a high-kill shelter. A rescue organization found him there and brought him to me to foster. We fell in love, and I knew that I would never be able to let him go. He has been mine ever since, but really I am his.

I know how much you love your pets because that’s how much I love mine. I have the best job in the world. I get to spend the day with not only my best friend but yours too. I get to work in my community and meet people from all walks of life. Elliot’s House provides more than just a service; we provide the assurance that your adorable canine and feline are being cared for by people who know how much they deserve to be loved. You can rest easy knowing that your pets are in the best hands. We provide not only dog walking, in-home cat-sitting, pet taxi, and doggie daycare, but also a professional atmosphere where your loved animals are treated as though they were our own. We know how precious and important your pets are to you because they are that important to us as well.

Elliot’s House offers you the solace of knowing that you can leave your dogs and cats and remain guilt-free because they will be having the time of their lives playing, socializing, exercising, and being celebrated. When you have to be away, you can rest easy knowing that your pets are in the best hands. It may be Elliot’s house, but we’ll make sure that your pets feel right at home here too!
