Dog Grooming

Grooming service offered in Somerville!

Transportation to our facility is available in Somerville, Cambridge, Downtown Boston and Seaport.

It’s a ruff job, but someone’s got to do it! We offer a number of services, listed below and on the owner portal.

Dog Grooming 

Bath & Cut Pricing Based on Size – includes bath, coat brushing, haircut (including sanitary trim), blow dry:

Small (<25 lbs) $65
Medium (26 lbs-45 lbs) $80
Large (46 lbs-65 lbs) $95
Extra Large (>65 lbs) $105

Thick Coat $30 (will be added for pups who take extra long to dry because of their thick coat, including but not limited to: Standard Poodle, any Doodle mix, Newfoundland, etc)

De-Matting $30 (will be added for those who require more than 20 minutes to brush out mats.)

 *Add transportation roundtrip for $25 (Pet Pick Up/ Drop Off if you are in our service area – Cambridge, Somerville, Downtown Boston, Seaport). Please select Transportation when booking grooming service.

Dog Grooming Policy

Grooming services take place Monday through Friday, from 9:00am-5:00 pm, based on availability. Grooming is done by appointment only, and all dogs must be up to date on all vaccines (Rabies, Bordatella, Distemper). Requests can be made using the online portal.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment times. Late drop offs may be charged a fee, or we may have to reschedule the appointment.

If you require pickup, please make sure your pet has eaten and gone to the bathroom before we arrive. Pick up is done between 7-10am and drop off is done between 3-5pm. If your pet uses the bathroom during transport, we may charge a cleaning fee.

If you need to cancel an appointment, please email us at info@elliotshouse.com. Cancellations must be done at least one day in advance, within our office hours (Mon-Fri 7am-3pm). If a cancelation is made for the next day after 3pm, it will be considered a same day cancelation. Canceling a grooming appointment same day will be charged the full amount of the appointment.

If your dog is matted, we will contact you to determine the best course of action. We will always do what we can to de-mat them, but if they cannot be de-matted, whether it be that the mats are too severe or if de-matting is intolerable for your pet, they may need to be shaved. We will NOT shave your pet down unless we have your permission. Matted dogs cannot be bathed or given a regular haircut. If they cannot be de-matted and you choose not to shave them down, we will not be able to finish the appointment. This will be considered a cancelation so all charges will still apply.
